This a great location for Rocky Mountain National Park. At first, we thought that the rooms were small but, looking at other sites, they are about average. They were reasonably comfortable. The adjacent 'Nickys' restaurant is great; especially for steaks. Breakfasts are excellent too.
Very clean rooms. Liked the location, right next to the river. Has a beautiful patio area right next to river.
I don't think they should advertise breakfast when all they had were prepackaged muffins, granola bars, and instant oatmeal. We just ate at the restaurant next door which had a very good breakfast.
nice location to everything. We stayed with you some years past and found you a little more expency, but you have up dated the place very nicely.
The only thing was the night light outside was turned off at 5:00 am and keep our room light up all night.
Property location, quaint and rustic appearance, nice deck.
The mattress. The mattress was enveloped in a crunchy plastic 'bag' so everytime you moved, it made crunching sounds like you stepped on a box of rice crispies. It was also uncomfortable.
Close to Rocky Mtn. National Park and has the "mountain" atmosphere about it.
Meals all seem "pricey" and not as appealing taste wise as some other local restaurants.
Disinterested staff. Poor breakfast - misleading. Led to believe that breakfast would be in adjacent restaurant building. On booking in, told that restaurant was closed for breakfast, only open at weekends. Grounds extremely tired and unkempt. Pool closed. Tennis courts unusable and all surfaces overgrown with weeds and abandoned. Uncomfortable iron seating outside rooms. Every resin chair broken in public areas. (There were only three).
The price, location and Wifi
Pillows, broken blinds, broken TV, bad decore, bad linens, bad remote control
Near entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Should have checked the heater prior to guest arrival. Heat was not operating as pilot was turned of. Did not include breakfast. Breakfast in mid September only available on weekends at there resturant. Resturant is overpriced. We ate in town.
The people at the front desk were very accommodating. The Resort was nicely located to get downtown and also up into the National Park.
Breakfast wasn't much and the restaurant was highly over priced.
location to mountains
Not a good value. Back to Comfort Inn where you get a better breakfast and nicer rooms and TV. The TV was very very small. The place looks like it is going down hill.
The restaurant and bar. Also, the creekside setting.
Very small room and poor lighting over sink area.
It was a peaceful, tranquil place to stay.
The grounds especially at the back, need to be cleared and spruced up. It is quite dated.
We loved the room, location, and restaurant!
I loved Nicky's resort inside and out. The atmosphere and decor was just what I was hoping for, regarding our first trip to RMNP. I wish I could have spent another night.
We were disappointed that the water slide was advertised- although it was broken and had been removed.
The cleaning staff were very accommodating. Pool was kept clean.
We wish we would never have heard of Nicky's Resort. It was a dump! Old, too small, view was not pleasant....junk and maintenance garbage next to pool and in front of nice mountains. A/c didn't work during 90+ degree temps, bugs, fire alarm battery kept us awake one night, fridge too small for full kitchen and it didn't work...had to be replaced with another little one. Patio table and umbrella on deck broken. Not enough lighting. Gape in screen door let in moths. One small bath for two bedrooms. We moved out after 3 nights and were refused a refund for the remaining 3 nights of our reservation. Very depressing!
